Adele, do you have a place where you have works offered for sale? I really like your traffic patterns pieces and a number of other things. Would love to put something of yours in my house.
I really like all of the Morning Watch series very much. I particularly like Satya’s Broom, Selected Days. I also really like the smaller pieces that are similar and would hang a series of them if I could afford it, and if there’s a way you would see them working together. I also really like 3 Green Buses and Rickshaws.
That work is really interesting and you may not want to let it go, but if you did, I would do my best to parade the right people through the house to view it.
This is Chris Weidner, retired ELCA pastor, living in Washington DC. In 1982, I participated in a seminarian study-tour to Finland, the Baltics and Russia with Pr Paul Wee (whom I bet you and Michael know) and Michael’s Dad. After seeing Paul at a conference in Maryland last fall, I was determined to send some photos, some with Paul and others with Richard’s compelling evocative Spirit-stirring self and his hand completing a drawing of one of the first three women Latvian pastors. I searched out others and found most of the original group of 15. I tried to reach out to Cathie Bach but was unsure if I got through, knowing of this transition time. Researching again, I found you through Michael’s name. Here are the photos. I hope you might share the collection with Liz and others who might be interested.
We hope to connect in several weeks by Zoom to reflect, share stories of life, love and ministry and, perhaps, bear some witness into the future. Peace to you. I’ve never been to Grünewald Guild or your evocative community-rich enterprises, but I have been to Holden several time over the past 30 years. Your sites are so rapturously inviting!
